Douglas Jeske, OD

Dr. Jeske has been providing quality vision and medical eye care since 1994. He attended Washington State University and earned his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering in 1984. In 1989 he chose to complete a graduate program to become an optometric physician.

Dr. Jeske earned his doctor of optometry degree with distinction from Pacific University in 1993. He completed a hospital-based geriatric residency at the American Lake Veteran Affairs Medical Center in 1994. Dr. Jeske has also received specialized training in pediatrics and vision-related learning disabilities.

Devin Finch, OD

Dr. Finch is excited to bring his style of friendly, personal, and up-to-date patient care Tumwater Eye Center to serve the local community. Dr. Finch is an Olympia native who grew up in East Olympia and graduated from Olympia High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in Cellular, Molecular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Washington. Afterward, he pursued his Doctor of Optometry degree at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. While at Pacific University, Dr. Finch was an active participant in vision screenings for the disadvantaged as well as volunteering for the Special Olympics and providing eye care to underserved populations in rural Guatemala. His clinical rotations were focused on ocular disease and primary eye care including rotations at the Pacific Islands VA in Honolulu, as well as the US Naval Hospital in Okinawa, Japan.

After graduation in May of 2019, Dr. Finch completed a residency in Ocular Disease and Primary Care Optometry at the Thomas E. Creek VA Medical Center in Amarillo, TX. Specialty instruction included laser procedures, minor surgical procedures for the eyelids, and surrounding tissue, additionally, Dr. Finch was tasked with managing ocular emergencies for the hospital emergency room after hours.

When outside the office, Dr. Finch enjoys hiking and backpacking in our beautiful state. He also enjoys going to see live music with friends, watching the Seahawks and Mariners, playing board games, and traveling. Dr. Finch is an avid reader who enjoys science fiction and world history.


Amber joined Tumwater Eye Center in February 2016. She brings over 10 years of experience in customer care and 8 years of experience in the optometric setting. She is an ABO and NCLE certified Licensed Dispensing Optician. She takes great pleasure in making sure every patient feels at home in our office. Amber will be with you throughout your exam recording information dictated by the doctor for your medical record. She will also be assisting you in your contact lens fitting needs.

In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, cooking new dishes, and spending time with her family and her cat Paisley.


Angie has been in the optometric field since 1994. As a medical assistant and optician apprentice with 25 yrs of experience, it is Angie’s job is to gather information, perform testing, and assist the doctor during the exam. Her goal at each appointment is to make sure that every patient understands all that was discussed during the appointment and what to expect at your next appointment.

In her free time, she enjoys boating, camping, creating art, and spending time with her three children and granddaughter.


Karen enjoys working “behind the scenes” at Tumwater Eye Center completing administrative and accounting duties. Occasionally, you’ll see her assisting other staff members or hear her voice in your voicemail box. She has worn many hats in medical and eye care settings and she strives to provide personalized solutions for patients.

Outside the office, she likes to watch live theater and musical performances, saunter around art and history museums, and hang out with her friends at Saint Michael Parish.


Luanna is our Operations Manager. She started her optical journey in 1997 and has been managing optical centers for 20 years. Luanna is ABO certified and is a Licensed Dispensing Optician in the State of Washington. While at Tumwater Eye Center, you may interact with her at various places throughout the facility, as she coordinates your experience from start to finish.

Outside of the office, Luanna enjoys spending time with her family members and friends, including her many kids, grandchildren, and husband. Her favorite hobbies include spinning the pottery wheel, reading, and photography art.


Marisa joined Tumwater Eye Center in July of 2020. She has been working in the optical field since 2012 involving herself in a wide array of patient care and office tasks. She is a Washington State Licensed Optician and is ABO and NCLE Certified. Marisa is passionate about finding the perfect frame for each patient, explaining lens options, and matching the best eyewear choices for school, work, and recreational activities.

In her free time, Marisa enjoys spending time with her family, hunting with her husband, and kayaking with her friends.


Nicki joined the team at Tumwater Eye Center in 2019, adding her expert customer service skills. She will welcome you to the clinic with warm greetings, assist you with your check-in process, then connect you with the appropriate professional in the office. Nicki coordinates appointments while managing reminders and other patient communications.

In her free time, Nicki enjoys being around family especially her niece and nephews, and is passionate about her fitness goals.


Taylor joined Tumwater Eye Center in June of 2020 and has been in the optical field since 2015. Taylor is a Washington State Licensed Optician and is ABO and NCLE Certified. During your visit to Tumwater Eye Center, you will find Taylor assisting with check-in, pretesting prior to your exam, and using his expertise to properly select, adjust, and fit eyewear.

In his free time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends.
