Douglas Jeske, OD

Dr. Jeske has been providing quality vision and medical eye care since 1994. He attended Washington State University and earned his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering in 1984. In 1989 he chose to complete a graduate program to become an optometric physician.

Dr. Jeske earned his doctor of optometry degree with distinction from Pacific University in 1993. He completed a hospital-based geriatric residency at the American Lake Veteran Affairs Medical Center in 1994. Dr. Jeske has also received specialized training in pediatrics and vision-related learning disabilities.

Devin Finch, OD

Dr. Finch is excited to bring his style of friendly, personal, and up-to-date patient care Tumwater Eye Center to serve the local community. Dr. Finch is an Olympia native who grew up in East Olympia and graduated from Olympia High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in Cellular, Molecular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Washington. Afterward, he pursued his Doctor of Optometry degree at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. While at Pacific University, Dr. Finch was an active participant in vision screenings for the disadvantaged as well as volunteering for the Special Olympics and providing eye care to underserved populations in rural Guatemala. His clinical rotations were focused on ocular disease and primary eye care including rotations at the Pacific Islands VA in Honolulu, as well as the US Naval Hospital in Okinawa, Japan.

After graduation in May of 2019, Dr. Finch completed a residency in Ocular Disease and Primary Care Optometry at the Thomas E. Creek VA Medical Center in Amarillo, TX. Specialty instruction included laser procedures, minor surgical procedures for the eyelids, and surrounding tissue, additionally, Dr. Finch was tasked with managing ocular emergencies for the hospital emergency room after hours.

When outside the office, Dr. Finch enjoys hiking and backpacking in our beautiful state. He also enjoys going to see live music with friends, watching the Seahawks and Mariners, playing board games, and traveling. Dr. Finch is an avid reader who enjoys science fiction and world history.

Karen

Karen enjoys working “behind the scenes” at Tumwater Eye Center completing administrative and accounting duties. Occasionally, you’ll see her assisting other staff members or hear her voice in your voicemail box. She has worn many hats in medical and eye care settings and she strives to provide personalized solutions for patients.

Outside the office, she likes to watch live theater and musical performances, saunter around art and history museums, and hang out with her friends at Saint Michael Parish.

Marisa, LDO

Marisa joined Tumwater Eye Center in July of 2020. She has been working in the optical field since 2012 involving herself in a wide array of patient care and office tasks. She is a Washington State Licensed Optician and is ABO and NCLE Certified. Marisa is passionate about finding the perfect frame for each patient, explaining lens options, and matching the best eyewear choices for school, work, and recreational activities.

In her free time, Marisa enjoys spending time with her family, hunting with her husband, and kayaking with her friends.

Taylor, LDO

Taylor joined Tumwater Eye Center in June of 2020 and has been in the optical field since 2015. Taylor is a Washington State Licensed Optician and is ABO and NCLE Certified. During your visit to Tumwater Eye Center, you will find Taylor assisting with check-in, pretesting prior to your exam, and using his expertise to properly select, adjust, and fit eyewear.

In his free time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends.


Colleen

Colleen joined Tumwater Eye Center in 2024 and works as a Medical Assistant. She enjoys working alongside the doctors to provide high-quality care and is passionate about continuously expanding her knowledge of eye care. Colleen values the time spent with patients with a goal of helping them feel comfortable and supported throughout their visit.

At home, Colleen enjoys reading, baking, taking walks with her dog, and spending time with her family.


Reagan

Reagan joined Tumwater Eye Center in January 2024, She has served as a Patient Services Representative, helping create a smooth and supportive experience for patients throughout their care journey. In this role, she is responsible for insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and coordinating communication between patients and the medical staff. With a strong focus on organization, communication, and compassionate service, Reagan helps ensure that patients have the information and support they need while also helping the medical team stay connected to patient needs.

During her free time, she enjoys fishing, camping, and spending time with her fiance. She also enjoys coloring, reading and crafting.


Karyssa

Karyssa is our Pretester at Tumwater Eye Center, she enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and welcomed from the moment they arrive. She performs preliminary vision testing and gathers important information to help the doctors provide personalized, high-quality eye care. She enjoys being part of a team dedicated to serving the community with compassion and excellence.

Outside of work, she loves spending time with her three kids, husband, family and friends, playing in the garden, exploring the outdoors, and making the most of the beautiful Pacific Northwest.


Alyssa

Alyssa is a Patient Care Coordinator and Pretester at Tumwater Eye Center, bringing nine years of customer service experience and three years of experience working in an eye care setting. She is passionate about creating a welcoming, comfortable experience for patients and takes pride in providing attentive, compassionate care throughout their visit.

Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys spending time with her son and family, exploring the outdoors through hiking and chasing waterfalls, and attending car shows and races. She values building meaningful connections with others and brings that same friendly, patient-focused approach to her work at Tumwater Eye Center.


Nicki

Nicki joined the team at Tumwater Eye Center in 2019, bringing her exceptional customer service skills and dedication to providing a welcoming patient experience. As a Medical Assistant and Optician Apprentice, Nicki works closely with patients and providers while continuing to expand her knowledge and skills in the optical field. She enjoys helping patients understand their eyewear options and is committed to providing personalized service and attentive care.

Outside of work, Nicki enjoys spending quality time with her husband Steven, and her family; especially her niece and nephews. She is also passionate about fitness and enjoys working toward her personal health and wellness goals.


Shelby

Shelby came to the area in 2019, where she began her career in eye care as a receptionist. Shortly after, she wanted to learn more about the field and transitioned into a technician position. Shelby has worked across multiple specialties alongside ophthalmologists and surgeons, including Retina, Glaucoma, and Cataract care. Shelby gathers patient information, performs testing, and assists the doctors during examinations. At the end of each visit, Shelby’s goal is to ensure that every patient fully understands their exam results and knows what to expect during follow-up care.

In her free time, Shelby enjoys relaxing at home with her two cats, as well as getting out and exploring Washington.
