Douglas Jeske, OD
Dr. Jeske has been providing quality vision and medical eye care since 1994. He attended Washington State University and earned his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering in 1984. In 1989 he chose to complete a graduate program to become an optometric physician.
Dr. Jeske earned his doctor of optometry degree with distinction from Pacific University in 1993. He completed a hospital-based geriatric residency at the American Lake Veteran Affairs Medical Center in 1994. Dr. Jeske has also received specialised training in pediatrics and vision-related learning disabilities.

Karen enjoys working “behind the scenes” at Tumwater Eye Center completing administrative and accounting duties. Occasionally, you’ll see her at the reception desk or hear her voice in your voicemail box. She has worn many hats in medical and eye care settings and she strives to provide personalized solutions for patients. Outside the office, she like to watch live theater and musical performances, saunter around art and history museums, and hang out with her friends at Saint Michael Parish.
Dee is an Apprentice Optician and has been with Tumwater Eye Center since March 2017. She has however, been in the optical world since August 2013. She enjoys working with the friendly staff and the diversity of Tumwater Eye Center’s patients. She will be assisting you with the fitting and ordering of your glasses. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Steve, and their Corgi puppy, Mia.
Amber joined Tumwater Eye Center in February 2016. She brings over 10 years of experience in customer care and 6 years experience in the optometric setting. She is an ABO and NCLE certified Licensed Dispensing Optician. She takes great pleasure in making sure every patient feels at home in our office. Amber will be escorting you to the exam and testing rooms to get your appointment started as well as helping with your contact lens fitting. In her free time she enjoys skiing, hiking, swimming and spending time with her family.
Angie has been in the optometric field since 1994. Angie will escort you to the exam and testing rooms and collect the information that Dr. Jeske will need during your exam. Her favorite part about working in the clinic is patient care and education. Her goal at each appointment is to make sure that every patient understands all that was discussed during the appointment. In her free time she enjoys boating, camping and spending all her time with her 3 children.
Courtney joined the optical field in February 2009. She obtained her ABO in 2011 and her NCLE in 2014 respectively, and then her Washington State Dispensing Opticians License in 2016. She will be assisting you through your optical experience as well as making sure that you get the proper fit and adjustment for your new glasses. In her spare time Courtney enjoys being anywhere near water and painting.
Karah is an Apprentice Dispensing Optician, who has been in the optical field since 2016. She will greet you at the front desk and gladly welcome you into the clinic. She has a passion for making sure each patient feels at ease and comfortable in our clinic. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, crafting, and being outdoors; especially near the water. She also has a cat named Felipe whom she adores.
