Appointments and Cancellations

Visit our About Your Exam page to read about what you can expect at your appointment. It is very helpful if you bring a current list of all medications and current contact lens prescription if this applies.
We value your time and schedule appointments in a way to minimize your wait. We try to allow plenty of time for a complete and thorough appointment as well as for you to have all of your questions answered. Please be prompt to your appointment. If it is your first visit, we ask that you arrive 5-10 minutes early to complete the necessary paperwork. You can also download our patient forms, complete them and bring them with you to your appointment.
If you find you are unable to keep your appointment, kindly call our office during business hours 48 hours in advance to reschedule. This courtesy on your part makes it possible to give an appointment to another patient who desires to see the doctor. There will be a $50 charge for appointments cancelled within 48 hours or missed appointments. This fee must be paid prior to scheduling any further appointments. (This charge will not be billed to insurance.)
In case of an eye emergency, call our office at 360-352-6060 immediately so we can determine what action you need to take to minimize the risk of permanent eye damage. After normal office hours, our answering service will provide the number of the doctor on call. For life threatening emergencies call 911. Remember, if an irritating fluid gets in the eye, immediately flush with water for at least 10 (ten) minutes.
In compliance with HIPAA regulations, we strive to protect our patients' privacy and identity. We will not share your information with anyone unless you have specified in writing for us to release information to someone.
